    Spreadsheets are often defined as very clever calculators.  Part of your Portfolio requires you to create documents solving problems using Microsoft Excel.

    The objectives of the spreadsheet/modelling section of the portfolio is to demonstrate that you can:

    • enter and bring together information,
    • explore information needed for a purpose,
    • develop information and derive new information as appropriate.

    Part of your GCSE Portfolio must consist of documents created using DTP software, i.e. Posters and/or Brochure created in Microsoft Word or Presentations created on Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • In this section you will learn about the different types of computer memory and what they are used for.

  • This section is all about Networks.  What they are, the types of networks, the advantages and disadvantages of networks and how they can be set up.

    This is one of the most important topics as it is examined every year, so make sure you study hard and learn everything there is to know about Networks.
